âme pure® MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS

What is dermarolling / microneedling?

Collagen Induction Therapy (or microneedling) is a minimally invasive treatment that induces a mini-trauma to the outer layer of the skin that the body immediately repairs, creating a blast of natural collagen and elastin as the skin generates new, healthy cells to replace old, damaged tissue. In fact, natural collagen production is boosted by over 200% after just a single use; this has an incredibly powerful skin-restoring effect. In the process, new capillaries are formed, increasing blood flow to the skin and therefore supplying it with all the precious nutrition that it needs to be as healthy as possible. What’s more, the channels created in the dermis by the microfine needles create pathways for active ingredients to be absorbed exceptionally deep into the skin, bypassing its protective barrier. This means that the absorption of actives is increased 1,000-fold, which heightens their effect to incredible levels.

While this technique provides results that are similar to those that can be obtained with other skin resurfacing treatments like laser therapy, the CIT treatment is more convenient given that it produces no heat and therefore can be used on all skin tones without any risk of hyperpigmentation while also requiring no downtime post-procedure. In fact, this skin-perfecting technique is virtually free of downsides: it does not damage the epidermis, it does not cause pain or bleeding, it does not induce unpleasant side effects, and it involves no downtime post-procedure.

The treatment can be used to treat blemishes, unclear skin, signs of ageing, wrinkles, scars, pigmentation spots and other irregularities, comedones (blackheads), sebum overproduction, lack of elasticity, cellulite, stretch marks, and so much more.

How is dermarolling / microneedling different from other skin renewal techniques?

While this technique provides results that are similar to those that can be obtained with other skin resurfacing treatments like laser, the CIT treatment is more convenient given that it produces no heat and therefore can be used on all skin tones without any risk of hyperpigmentation while also requiring no downtime post-procedure.

In contrast to all ablative techniques like lasers and fractional laser treatments, the âme pure® CIT Face and Body Roller stimulate new tissue formation – this method acts constructively and the skin remains intact. The skin does not get damaged (unlike with other needling devices) and therefore will not go into a wound healing response (no scabs). The âme pure® CIT Rollers significantly minimize atrophic scars & improve skin texture.

What are the effects of dermarolling / microneedling on the skin?

The âme pure® CIT Roller increases the thickness of the dermis as well as the epidermis. This, in return, improves skin texture and reduces wrinkles. It also has a positive effect on hyper-pigmentation as well as on hypo-pigmentation. It reduces disfiguring scars and acne scars, stimulates new collagen fibre formation, improves blood supply and harmonizes pigmentation.

What skin concerns are âme pure® treatments effective for?

CHOOSING A FACE TREATMENT

What is the CIT Face Roller?

The âme pure® CIT Face Roller is a cylindrical drum on which very fine needles are mounted. It is handcrafted and designed based on documented studies, which have shown that 192 needles is an optimal amount for a facial dermaroller. âme pure ® CIT Face Rollers are produced exclusively for âme pure® in accordance with EU Cosmetic GMP and manufactured to the highest professional standards using hospital-grade surgical steel. The fabrication procedure guarantees the roller’s quality and sterility.

How does the CIT Face Roller work?

The âme pure® CIT Face Roller creates thousands of microscopic, invisible punctures to the outer epidermis of the skin that the body immediately starts to repair. This process stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin as the skin generates new, healthy cells to replace old, damaged tissue. In the process, new capillaries are also formed, increasing blood flow to the skin, and therefore supplying it with all the precious nutrition that it needs to be as healthy as possible. The result: smooth, soft, renewed skin that is free of scars, wrinkles and blemishes. As with other skin resurfacing techniques, such as laser therapy, a superficial abrasion of the skin is produced. However, with the CIT Roller, this is done without damaging the epidermis, which remains healthy. There is also no physical discomfort involved, the recovery time is minimal and there are no unpleasant side effects.

Do dermarollers with more needles provide better results?

We recommend being wary of low-cost dermarollers that have more than 500 needles. They are not appropriate for use on the skin and may cause serious damage. No clinical studies are available to document the effect of this type of roller.
In fact, rollers with larger amounts of needles require applying more pressure in order to penetrate the skin to the necessary depth. Not only does this cause discomfort, it can also be dangerous.
The âme pure® CIT Face Roller and CIT Body Roller use the needle amount and density that has been proven in multiple clinical studiesto be safe and effective for treating the skin.

How do I choose the best CIT Face Roller needle size?

If you are looking to treat unclear/oily skin, acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, or hyperpigmentation spots, enlarged pores and blackheads, and you wish to prevent the development of signs of ageing, age spots, sun spots and hyperpigmentation, choose the 0.50 mm size.

If, in addition to the above-mentioned issues, the main skin concern is deep and advanced wrinkles or profound scarring, choose the 0.75mm size.

How can I treat lines, wrinkles and pigmentation spots?

The best dermaroller treatment for wrinkles and uneven pigmentation is the âme pure® WrinklEraser™ kit.
The WrinklEraser™ Kit is a revolutionary at-home treatment that is clinically proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles by 47% after just 4 weeks and that is a natural alternative to rejuvenating injections. The advanced, gold-standard wrinkle formula works instantly to visibly firm and tighten skin. It corrects the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles while preventing further damage.
After just a single use, the skin looks brighter, more radiant, and lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced.

How can I treat acne scars and blemished skin?

The most effective dermaroller treatment for acne scars and blemishes is the âme pure® PLATINUM Kit. The formulation of its high-impact PLATINUM Gel is similar to the Original Collagen Therapy Gel, but its dose of its advanced active ingredients has been tripled to provide a special, powerful focus on acne scars, enlarged pores, and blemished, oily and acne-prone skin. The treatment has been tested in numerous clinical studies and the results have shown a reduction of acne scars by 50-80%.
If active breakouts are a concern, we recommend using the âme pure® Adjustable Derma Stamp. This microneedling stamp is equipped with 140 needles made of medical-grade stainless steel. Their length is adjustable and can be set between 0.00mm and 1.00mm. This adaptability is optimal for use in various zones of the face, neck, back and shoulders in order to treat blemished skin and acne scarring. Moreover, the Adjustable Derma Stamp is a high-precision instrument; with it, it is easy to avoid using the microneedling treatment directly on blemishes. Therefore, the skin benefits from the advanced microneedling treatment while inflamed breakouts are avoided and protected.

Which face treatment should I choose if I have sensitive skin?

For sensitive skin, we suggest using the CIT Face Roller Basic Kit with a needle length of 0.5mm in order to minimize pores and blackheads, treat unclear/oily skin, acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, or hyperpigmentation spots.
We suggest beginning with short treatments during the first week to allow the skin get used to the treatment.

What is included in the Face Roller Basic Kit?

The Basic Kit includes the CIT Face Roller, the Collagen Therapy™ Gel to be applied right after the rolling, and the Sanitizer Spray to disinfect the hands, skin and roller before and after use. The treatment course is 2 months long and precise user instructions are provided with the Kit.
Other Kit options from âme pure® also include the same components, but with gels or microneedling tools that are tailor-made to treat specific skin issues, like improving the condition of blemish-prone skin (PLATINUM Kit) and signs of ageing (WrinklEraser™ Kit).

CHOOSING A BODY TREATMENT

What is the CIT Body roller?

The âme pure® CIT Body Roller is designed to treat problem areas on the body. It is twice as wide as the CIT Face Roller, making it easier to treat major problem areas on the body and providing better results.
The âme pure® CIT Body Roller delivers thousands of microscopic, invisible punctures to the outer epidermis of the skin that the body immediately starts to repair. This process stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin as the skin generates new, healthy cells to replace old, damaged tissue. Studies have shown that collagen fibres present in the skin increase by more than 200% after only a single use of the dermaroller treatment. During this process, new capillaries are also formed, increasing blood flow to the skin, and therefore providing the skin with all the precious nutrition that it needs to be as healthy as possible. The result: old, damaged scar tissue is effectively replaced with new healthy skin.
The CIT Body Roller contains 400 needles. Our CIT Rollers are handcrafted and designed based on documented studies. They are CE approved and manufactured using hospital-grade surgical steel to the highest professional standards that guarantee quality and sterility.

What CIT Body Roller needle size do I need?

Choose 0.75mm needle size if you have small scars or lighter forms cellulite, recent or developing stretch marks or if you wish to treat sensitive areas.

Choose 1.00mm needle size if you wish to treat deep and old scars and stretch marks as well as more advanced cases of cellulite.

What are the differences between the Face Roller and the Body Roller?

The CIT Body Roller is twice as wide as the CIT Face roller. It contains more needles and is designed specially to target body skin problems. Remember that the CIT Body Roller should never be used on facial skin, which is much thinner and more delicate than body skin.

If you are interested in treating the skin of both your face and body, choose the Adjustable Derma Stamp. Its needle length can be adjusted to lengths between 0.00mm and 1.00mm, meaning it is suitable for use for both types of skin. Remember that needle lengths over 0.75mm should never be used on the face.

How can I treat stretch marks?

The Intensive Stretch Marks Eraser Kit is the best solution for both old and new stretch marks. Studies have shown that by using our treatment for only 8 weeks, the visibility of both old and new stretch marks is reduced by 80%. The treatment firms and redensifies the skin, with a special focus on reducing the thickness and visibility of stretch marks.

If you have stretch marks on breasts or on other thin and sensitive skin areas, you should choose the 0.75 mm needle length.

However, if you have stretch marks on the stomach, hips, legs, or other areas where the skin is naturally thicker and rougher, then the 1.00 mm needle length will be more effective.

How can I treat cellulite?

The Intensive Cellulite Eraser Kit is the most effective solution for reducing fat stores and increasing blood flow to the skin, thereby reducing cellulite and preventing its future formation.

How often should I do the microneedling treatment?

You should perform the treatment with CIT Face Roller, CIT Body Roller, or other âme pure® microneedling device in the evening, 2-4 times per week, every other week. This means you will have 1 week where you perform the treatment, and 1 week where you do not.
For example, you could roll on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Then, take a 1-week break. Begin the cycle again, until the 2-months course has been completed.
If your skin is sensitive, skip more days between rolling sessions. For instance, you could roll on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday. Never roll 2 days in a row because it needs time to recover.

How should I clean my microneedling device?

After each use, rinse the microneedling device under hot running water. Then, let it air dry and disinfect the head and needles with the âme pure® Sanitizer Spray before and after use.
The same procedure should be followed with all âme pure® microneedling devices, including the CIT Face Roller, CIT Body Roller, Adjustable Derma Stamp and CIT Pen.

How long can my microneedling device be used? When should I replace it?

All âme pure® microneedling devices can be used for the entire treatment period of 8 weeks. After that, if you wish to continue with another treatment course, the device needs to be replaced to ensure that needles are sharp and unbent, and so that there is no risk of skin damage.

How often can I repeat the treatment course?

After 8 weeks, the treatment course is completed. However, we recommend repeating it 1 to 2 times per year to maintain results. The frequency depends on every individual and the issues are being treated as well as their severity.
If treating acne scars, the result is long-lasting; the scars that are eliminated will not reappear. However, this does not mean that new scars will not appear if you experience acne again.
When it comes to the treatment of wrinkles, large pores and blemishes, the results are very long-lasting. However, we recommend repeating the treatment 1 to 2 times a year to maintain the results and a healthy skin condition.

RESULTS

When will I see results?

The effects obtained by using microneedling devices and as well as skin healing rates vary from person to person.

However, after using âme pure® microneedling devices, you may notice changes in the skin in the first weeks after the beginning of the treatment as the skin renews itself and new collagen is formed.

Collagen remodelling for average skin takes at least 60 days, so the effects of this treatment may not be fully appreciated for at least one month after starting the treatment course. Some users experience a difference after one week, others after 4-6 weeks. Therefore, you should complete the whole treatment of 8 weeks to be able to evaluate the results.

Where can I see before & after images?

To see real results from âme pure® treatments as forwarded to us by our happy customers, check out our Before & After images page.

What is the downtime after the âme pure® microneedling treatment?

Our Collagen Therapy™ Gels have a unique formulation that has strong anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore, the inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short when applying the Collagen Therapy™ Gels right after performing the microneedling treatment. We recommend undergoing the treatment during the evening / before bedtime, as it is the best moment in the day for human skin to rest and regenerate according to our natural circadian body cycles. The skin should return to its normal state by morning time. On the morning after the treatment, cleaning, moisturizer application and makeup rituals can be performed as usual.

PRECAUTIONS

Can the âme pure® microneedling treatments be used on any skin color?

Since the âme pure® microneedling treatments do not generate any heat (unlike IPL and laser treatments), it is safe for use on all skin type or colour. No risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation exists with this form of treatment.

Can I use the CIT Face Roller on active acne breakouts?

Please note that the roller should not be used directly on acne lesions or any other form of acute infection or inflammation of the skin. It is however possible to use the roller and our other microneedling devices around active acne. This is recommended in order avoid spreading the infection. As a result of treating the surrounding skin, the skin condition will improve over time. For blemish-prone skin, we recommend using the Adjustable Derma Stamp, which easier to manoeuvre and is designed especially for use on this specific skin type.

Can I use microneedling treatments on eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, dermatitis?

Unfortunately, we do not recommend using âme pure® microneedling treatments on eczema, rosacea, psoriasis or dermatitis.
